MedTech Livestream

Join us for this one-hour webinar providing an overview of existing and future battery stewardship scheme regulation in MedTech.

Battery stewardship regulation is moving quickly from voluntary schemes to clearer regulatory expectations across Commonwealth and state governments. For MedTech companies whose products contain batteries, understanding what’s coming (and what it means for your business) is becoming essential.

This webinar will provide a practical, overview of the current and emerging battery stewardship landscape, with a clear focus on what MedTech businesses need to know now and how to prepare. You’ll hear directly from the Battery Stewardship Council (BSC) and gain clarity on responsibilities, timelines, and the support available to industry.

What we'll cover

  • Battery stewardship: how we got here - a short history lesson and the role of BSC
  • Evolving Commonwealth and state regulatory settings and what they mean for the industry
  • Practical implications for industry including systems, data, and compliance considerations
  • What to expect next and how organisations can prepare

Whether you have an established ESG function or are managing compliance within a smaller team, this session will help you navigate battery stewardship obligations with greater confidence.

What you'll gain from this webinar

  • Understand why battery stewardship regulation is emerging now and the key drivers behind the change
  • Clarity on roles and responsibilities, including the BSC versus regulators
  • Visibility of what's coming, likely obligations, timelines, and expectations
  • Clear pathways to further engagement, practical resources, and follow‑up support
