Liberal Party Health Policies for the 2011 State Election

Chief Executive Officers, Vice Presidents, National Directors and Managing Directors are invited to attend the next CEO Forum to be held on Wednesday 24 March 2010.
 
Jillian Skinner, NSW Shadow Minister for Health will discuss the Liberal party’s policies on health for the State election in March 2011.  The forum will be hosted by Anne Trimmer, Chief Executive Officer, MTAA.  It will provide an opportunity for member CEOs to raise issues for consideration as part of the policy development by the State Opposition.

The forum will be held from 12:30 – 2:00 pm in the MTAA Boardroom in North Sydney.  Lunch will be provided.  Attendance is limited to member Chief Executive Officers, Vice Presidents, National Directors and Managing Directors only at a cost of $75 per registrant (including lunch).  Places are strictly limited to 15 attendees.  To register, please click here.

The MTAA Board and CEO are hosting a networking function on Monday 12 April in Adelaide. Members, other medical technology companies, hospital executives and representatives from academia and government organisations are invited to take this opportunity to meet the MTAA Board Directors and CEO to hear about current activities in the industry sector.

As a special guest speaker, Professor Judith Dwyer from the Department of Health Care Management at Flinders University will be speaking about the proposed national health reform and the effects on state health systems. Professor Dwyer’s background in hospital and health services management and academia provides a unique insight into the government’s health reforms combined with a local insight into the specific circumstances and challenges in South Australia.

Professor Dwyer is a member of the Board of the Australian College of Health Service Executives.

As part of the networking function, MTAA Chief Executive Officer Anne Trimmer will give an overview of MTAA's priorities in 2010.
