One (1) hour self-paced online learning. This introductory online module provides participants with an overview of the anti-competitive provisions of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010.
Who should participate?
MTAA member employees who participate in MTAA Committees (including board), working groups, forums, communications, MTAA sponsored events and forums should complete this training. The recommended pre-requisite training for this Level 1 module is module 2.1 Introduction to the Code of Practice.
Learning outcomes
- Understands the obligations of industry associations and their members under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010.
- Understands key provisions in the Act that prohibit anti-competitive conduct among members of industry associations.
- Appreciates that in some circumstances, the ACCC can grant protection to businesses under the Act for otherwise anti-competitive conduct, if it is in the public interest.
How much does it cost?
The fee to complete this online module is $230 inc. GST for non-members and free for members.
Certificates
Within 24 hours of a user completing the online learning module, a certificate of participation will be available for download via “My Portal” from the MTAA Website from the “Certificates” item under the “My Content” menu.
How do I register?

License, use, transfers and refunds
A single user licence is issued for 12 weeks access to the purchased MTAA online learning module for the assigned user. Online learning modules are non- transferrable and non-refundable.
