MedTech industry welcomes balanced Prostheses List Report
MTAA has welcomed the findings of the Senate Inquiry into the price regulation associated with the Prostheses List Framework.
The Senate Committee report clearly reflected the complexity of the issues involved in medical device pricing and rejected the slash and burn approach advocated by the private health insurers. The recommendations of the report are sensible and MTAA supports them.
Clinical Trials 2017: National Tribute & Awards Ceremony
MTAA is supporting the Clinical Trials 2017: National Tribute & Awards Ceremony on Friday 19th May, 2017. This event coincides with International Clinical Trials Day, raising the public awareness of clinical trials and honours clinical research professionals for their contribution to public health and medical progress.

The MTAA MedTech 2017 Annual Conference will be held on 1-2 November 2017 at Doltone House, Jones Bay Wharf, Sydney. The theme for this year is "The Value of Medical Technology to a Healthier Australia"

Interview with Professor Tony Weiss
Professor Weiss is a rare blend of successful Australian academic researcher, innovator and company Scientific Founder of Elastagen Pty Ltd.
He was one of the speakers at the MedTech Forum: Australian MedTech Innovation - The Clinical Research Landscape on Thursday 11th May. He was interviewed by Amanda Ogilvie from the Australian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ACCI) as part of the Biz Better Together initiative.
WHO list of priority medical devices for cancer management
The World Health Organisation (WHO) Priority medical devices for cancer care was launched in the 3rd Global Forum on medical devices in Geneva, last Friday 12th of May. This publication addresses medical devices based on the list of clinical interventions selected from clinical guidelines on prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment, palliative care, monitoring and end of life care.
