RAPS and MTAA Open Registration for Australia Regulatory Device Summit 2025
Sydney, AU — 4 April 2025 —The Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society (RAPS) and the Medical Technology Association of Australia (MTAA) have come together for the first time to produce Australia Regulatory Device Summit 2025, a summit convening 17-18 July at ICC Sydney in Sydney, Australia. This two-day event will unite experts from Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) and global health authorities with regulatory professionals focused on medical devices and medical technology (MedTech), as well as other key industry stakeholders to address changes across the domestic landscape and key international topics of global concern.
MTAA CEO, Ian Burgess, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, highlighting the benefits it will bring for the regulatory community.
“MTAA is excited to partner with RAPS to address the needs of our growing market. Leveraging our combined reach and expertise across the regulatory community, MTAA and RAPS will collaborate to deliver an in-depth program with engaging discussions, insightful knowledge exchange, and collaboration opportunities,” said Mr Burgess.
Building on the success of MTAA’s RegConnect24 conference, day one of the Australia Regulatory Device Summit 2025 will offer updates directly from TGA on recent reforms, international collaboration, software and AI regulations, audit framework and approval timelines, digital transformation, real-world evidence, and UDI. New for 2025, day two of the event will offer attendees international perspectives on vital issues such as European regulations (MDR), global regulations in AI, US regulations, IMDRF, and leadership skills for regulatory professionals.
Bill McMoil, RAPS Executive Director commented that “it is essential for regulators to understand how best practices and changes across the globe could impact their current state-of-play. RAPS and MTAA hope the Australia Regulatory Device Summit 2025 provides actionable takeaways and new connections that spark innovation, address challenges, and elevate regulatory strategies to effectively advance patient care.”
