Industry makes joint recommendation on medical device identification

Key industry bodies, including MTAA, have recommended to the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) new principles in place when implementing Unique Device Identifications standards in Australia moving forward. The new proposal suggests databases should be managed in Australian and administrated by the TGA to better align with international coding standards and global UDI systems around the world.
