Background
Since MTAA was founded, as part of its membership offerings under the constitution, a member of the MTAA may nominate an individual to join MTAA as an Honorary Life Member in recognition of that individual’s services to the Association. Once a nomination is received the board then votes. Being a Life Member is a non-voting membership, and is purely honorary. Once approved by the MTAA Board membership is for life.
Selection Criteria
As written in the constitution, to be eligible to become an honorary Life Member the recipient must have provided “long and meritorious service to the Medical Technology industry.” We recommend providing a half-page submission detailing their service and achievements to industry. Submissions are received via membership@mtaa.org.au.
Cost
There is no fee to be a Life Member, as it is honorary. Membership gives the recipient the right to receive the monthly Member Update e-newsletter, and to attend MTAA events at the member rate, or for free where there is no cost to members.
Award
The honorary Life Member Award will be offered at the MTAA MedTech Industry Awards Night.
