Frequently Asked Questions
Q1. What types of activities fall under the MTAA professional development program?
There are a range of activities that can be attended. These included course modules, MedTech Forums, MedTech Seminars, Webytes, E-briefings and industry special interest events. For some training events, pre-requisite modules or equivalent industry experience is recommended.
Q2. How do I register and pay to attend an activity?
All MTAA activities must be registered to and paid for via the online registration system, unless otherwise stated. All course modules are listed in the Training Catalogue on the MTAA website.
To register for a module you will need a My MTAA Account. This is your online portal that gives you access to a range of information, including your training history by clicking My Certifications. Access your online learning and past Certificates of Participation by clicking the award icon.
Once you have paid online to attend training, an invoice will appear on screen. Please print this screen for later reference as evidence of your payment. Standard credit card fees apply. You can also access past invoices by clicking the Order History tab on the right hand side of your portal view.
Q3. Can I cancel my attendance if I am unable to attend?
Cancellations for all face-to-face training and events will be accepted up to five working days prior to the event and are subject to a cancellation fee of $50. Attendees from the same organisation may be substituted up to two working days prior to the event if MTAA is advised and agrees in writing. No refunds are issued for cancellations after this time. Please note, cancellations where payments were made online by credit card will be refunded less credit card fee(s).
If a cancellation is made less than five days prior to an event, without prior notice or substitution, there will be no refund. Should MTAA cancel an event, a full refund will be made.
Please ensure that you always refer to the individual cancellation policy prior to registering. To make a cancellation or swap and attendee, please contact reception by P: (+612) 9900 0650 or E: pd@mtaa.org.au

This is available by logging on to your My MTAA Account on the MTAA website the next business day following the training and clicking the award icon, excluding module 1.5 Introduction to Operating Theatre Protocols that may take up to a week pending the review of assessments.
