2.4 The Compliance and Consumer Act 2010
One hour self-paced introductory online learning module providing participants with an overview of the anti-competitive provisions of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010.
Learning outcomes:
- Understands the obligations of industry associations and their members under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010.
- Understands key provisions in the Act that prohibit anti-competitive conduct among members of industry associations.
- Appreciates that in some circumstances, the ACCC can grant protection to businesses under the Act for otherwise anti-competitive conduct, if it is in the public interest.
Who should participate: MTAA member employees who participate in MTAA Committees (including board), working groups, forums, communications, MTAA sponsored events and forums should complete this training.
Pre-requisite: Participants must have completed the 2.1 Introduction to the Code of Practice.
