UTS Implant Testing Service

The School of Biomedical Engineering at The University of Technology Sydney is setting up an Implant Testing Service at Tech Lab, the first of its kind in Australia. This facility will support above world standard research and industry partnership and engagement for medical device design, manufacture, testing and translation.

The facility will offer significant expertise around implant testing, both mechanical, in the form of materials testing and joint replacement simulation to ISO standards, and biological testing in the form of wear particle isolation, particle characterisation from 3D printed constructs and biological impact testing.
